Learning English in USA is a very interesting experience in my life. Actually, English is not the only thing I'm learning here, but also many other things I'm gaining as good experiences. I don't really know how is the Educational system in US schools, but if it is similar to what I'm noticing in my school while I'm studying English, it would probably be the best way that people could learn more than they suppose to learn.
I don't know if you agree with me or not, but I say that all because of the differences I've already noticed between the educational system in my country and the educational system in my English school here in US. In my point of view, here in my school the international environment makes a little different with things that we suppose to learn. Despite the fact that we are all here to learn English, all of us are learning many other things such as cultural differences.
However, it's not only about the international environment, but also about the way of teaching. For example, I can see that teachers in ESL, which is my English school, use different kind of skills to organize everything during classes. I really like that we change places, work with partner, work in group, have a trip to someplace helps you in your study or have someone giving you a presentation before you start new project.
Moreover, homework is really different here, because sometimes you have to do something required different kind of work such as visiting someplace to get information for the homework or doing a little research to find some answers. On the other hand, I've never ever done homework requires that I have to go somewhere or do some research to do it. In my opinion, I would be mach better in a lot of things if I were doing some of my homework as same as i usually do here in US.
In short, I really appreciated the educational system here in ESL, because I think it's very helpful for people to learn and experiment new things in addition to learning English. Also, after thinking about the big differences between the two educational system, I wish I could change the way of teaching in my country, because I think it would help a lot the new generation.

Children care! I've never ever thought about that issue or considered it as an important thing. However, I changed my mind when I came to united state, because it's a very important issue here. On the other hand, people in my country just don't care about taking care of children, because it's already part of our culture, which is related to the Islam religion.
Here in US, people have some problems about who should take care of children, because working is also important for the parents of the children. As a result, they always try to find some solutions help them both to work such as having a part time job, work opposite hours, work from home, have a nanny or have grandparents to take care of their children.
In contrast, the man is responsible to be the one who works and takes care of the family budget, and the woman is responsible about taking care of her children. This is the most common situation in my country because of our culture. Even though, it's the most common, some women don't agree to stay home, so they try to get marry a little bit later than usual or have someone taking care of their children.
When I said that I have never ever thought about children care, I meant that it wasn't important to me when I was a child, because I have the greatest mother, who rose me between her arms. I've never ever felt lost, because she was always around me. Also, I can't forget my father, because he was the one who tries to afford everything I need.
In my point of view, taking care of children is not only important for the parents, but also effects the child life in the future and the relationship between the child himself and his parents. It's not only about making money, but it's about having a good children. What would you do with the whole money you earn if you didn't have a good children? This is the question that my father kept in mind when he told to my mother to quit her studying and take care of my brothers and me.
In short, the culture has a big impact on the way that people behave. It's very different between place to another. Many cultural things could be change to be either better or worst. However, I would say that I learned to consider about taking care of my children in the future, and I hope to be a good father to my children.
Childhood!

It's kind of funny when you see something remind you of your childhood, because most of childhood memories are funny. Last weekend while I was walking back home, I saw three kids walking with their mother I guess. I'm not sure if they were three brothers, but they seem to be. Anyway, they were fighting with each other, and their mother was just telling them that she would deal with that later at home. Also, one of them was really sad, so he told to his brother that he won't talk to him anymore.
At that time, I was just imagining my brothers and I were fighting with each other in the mall in front of my father, and it's not nice in our culture to punish your kids in public or in front of someone else. We were aware that my father won't do anything until we get back home; therefore, we were just arguing and complaining against each other. Even though it wasn't nice of my father to punish us, he said that He would hit my brother if he didn't stop fighting with my another brother and me.
My brother whom my father talked to was very upset about that, so he swear that he will never ever talk with us, and my other brother and I were just fine with that, because we were so sad because of his arguing. When we were kids, we used to fight too much because of petty things. However, when we wake up on the morning, every thing is gone, and we become better than before.
It's funny that kids act the same way in different places. I would say that it is interesting to find something not only remind you of your childhood, but also very similar to what happend to you in the past

My first Halloween is one of the best holidays I have ever participated in America generally And Austin specifically. I did not expect the enjoyment I had in 6th street at the Halloween night. It was an awesome and full of fun night. Every one was dressed up and ready to act his custom personality. I surprised with the crowded in downtown, because I could not even drive my car there, and I could not find a a parking.
I impressed by the people in downtown, because I saw All kinds of people, and they were all happy. I amused myself talking and taking pictures with new people from different places. Downtown was so different than any celebration I've ever celebrated before. I just felt as a part of this day, so I enjoyed my time as same as others did. I was costumed with an afro wig and sunglasses.
Also, my parents participated in this Halloween for the second time in their life, because they were in California last year, and they had a lot of fun, because my little nephew was with them. This year was a little bit different in Austin, because they did not see beautiful decorated houses in their neighborhood. On the other hand, they enjoyed seeing a very beautiful houses with an amazing Halloween decoration. However, they enjoyed their time this year handing out some candy to the children.
Otherwise, we celebrate a very similar holiday in some parts of my country, which is Saudi Arabia. all children in the city go out of their houses visiting others' houses to get some candies. Also, everybody wears new clothes or any beautiful customs. It's so fun in that day too, because you see a lot of happy people.
This kind of celebrations give people an opportunity to show a picture of the nation's communication. It's kind of a social event, which helps people get closer and know more about each other. I really enjoyed the Halloween In Austin Texas as a first Halloween I've ever attended.
